I just posted some bike pics here:
There’s a lot of other great artwork there, too. Maybe I’ll have something accepted…

The 621 Gallery announces CALL FOR ENTRIES for
Bike-Power – A national exhibit of bike culture and influence.

TALLAHASSEE, FL (NOV. 16, 2006) Artists working in ALL MEDIA including photography, sculpture, video, and mixed media are invited to enter. The exhibit, Bike-Power, is a national, juried exhibition focusing on the bicycle as a cultural force. The exhibition opens with a “First Friday” gala event at the 621 Gallery in Tallahassee, Florida, USA, on March 2nd, 2007 and runs through the month of March. Weekly film screenings and local bicycle races and rides are now being scheduled.

Bike-Power is jurored by Florida State University’s Associate Professor of Digital Arts, Keith Roberson. Keith is a daily bike commuter, a Mt. Bike endurance racer, and is in his yard right now, trying to teach his kids to ride.
According to Roberson,”Those of us who commute, race, or just endure our bikes, on road or dirt, WE KNOW that the bicycle is one simple machine with a complex relationship to culture. The bicycle may be the solution to traffic grid-lock, the obesity problem, oil dependance, or maybe just makes some kids happy. It’s the simple, low-tech solution that most folks ignore. This exhibition strives to open more eyes to the cultural power of the bicycle.”
